Newborn Sneak Peek! - Boise Newborn Photographer

I tried so hard to get this up last night, but I was running on empty. I've been waiting for this little one for a long time - I did the maternity pix too.

I've been running around crazy trying to get so much stuff done - it's insane. I have ONE date left in August - I've just been so busy - but I like to be busy! If you are interested in doing a session in August - please email me or use the contact form on my website.

and tonight? I am going to roaring springs with a friend, and I'm going to slip on my sunglasses and float in the river for like 2 hours so I can relax :-D

Sneak Peek! - Boise Engagement Photographer

Some of my very good friends are getting married! I couldn't be more excited for them!









I also did family pix and pix of the kiddos too - but those will have to wait until later because I have ALOT on my plate today! Just a peek into my to do list:

1. 4 sessions plus a wedding to edit
2. Prepare studio for a newborn session tonight
3. Finish making props for a special event on Saturday!
4. sleep? Ha! Sleep is for the weak! lol

I'm a leavin in a jet plane...

but I haven't left yet and I know when I'll be back again...

I am going to be out of town between September 9th and September 16th - I'm going to Portland to visit my friend Hedy AND teach her some photography stuff. If you know people in P-Town who might be up for a session so I can teach her the ropes - Let me know.

I also might (very slim chance!) be going to the Bay Area, Ca sometime soon - you see my Godmother told me like 7 engineers at her company were pregnant and love my photography - so I told her to have them pool their session fees and fly me out there! heh. A girl can dream, I love to travel! I also want to go to the Winchester Mystery House again - It's SOOO cool!

That is sitting in front of me at the movies - The one time my husband and I really get to get AWAY and not think about work, and enjoy ourselves - is your text message really so important that you need to blind the row behind you with the blue hideously bright light of your phone LCD? Wisdom Via Email

I rarely read anything forwarded to me (and I get ALOT forwards!) but I read this one today, and liked it -

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

So. So. True!

My Wedding Gallery isn't up quite yet, but Congrats to Hedy for choosing the name! She suggested "The Princess Bride". She's my bestest friend so I already have a surprise in mind for her.

I'm keeping the other suggestions in mind - if I use one, I will get a surprise to you!

Since I am so excited about this new website (and I worked really hard to get it, most of you know that!) Whats Happenin'?

I've been busy this week - The new website (!!!!) should be launched by MONDAY! WOO! It's done, I just have to wait for the company to look it over and launch it! I will announce the launch here and in my newsletter.

Wedding Sneak Peek!

I have another wedding coming up on September 3rd, for my good friends Dana and Scott - I am so excited for them!

In other news, I am almost done with the website! I might even be able to launch it...tomorrow??? We'll see.

Contest!

You all know I am excited about the new website - but I need some help. All of my galleries are Movie Titles (but are somewhat generic in a a way due to copyright)

I currently need a name for my NEWBORN and my WEDDING Galleries. You can search The Internet Movie Database or google. It just needs to be a name of an actual movie.

For Example: The name of my Maternity Gallery is "9 Months", and my Baby Gallery is "Baby Boom"

I also am looking for names for TWO Packages - Medium and Small - Both need to be in the movie theme.

If you are a local client (or someone who would like to be!) and you suggest the winning gallery name, you will win a Free Session and 8x10!

If you are a fellow photographer friend, I will come up with some sort of nifty prop prize (I can make you a crocheted newborn wrap, or a tutu! - We'll see)

What's up with me you ask? Well, I was lucky enough to be invited to see the premiere of "The Dark Knight" with friends! It was awesome!

and tomorrow my hubby and I are going out of town overnight for some much needed (very small) vacation time. I will not be bringing my computer and will not be able to check email until Sunday evening. Please call only in case of a emergency!

I'm going to be resting this week, I do have some sessions, a sibling/baby session and a family session coming up! Also, pretty soon all of the beautiful pregnant momma's I blog about are going to give birth, and it'll be newborn time again! yay!

Fun Weekend with the Girls

I got to spend the last few days with my friend Hedy from Portland, and her two little ones! We've know each other since we were 6 years old, in the 2nd grade, isn't that amazing? We stayed overnight in a Hotel,and had a slumber party! We also played at the park, did a fairy portrait session, and went to eat at the Pita Pit! (and mmm I love the pita pit! I had babaganoush with cucumbers and pepperchinis!)
