I'm having some computer problems that are making it difficult for me to edit photos and process orders - please be patient with me!!! I am working on having the problem fixed, until then I am using a very slow computer who does have internet, but it's extremely slooooowwww.

I'm Back

My trip to Portland didn't go how I was expecting - unfortunately some not so nice things did end up happening, but all that matters is that I'm safe and at home.

I'm working on orders right now!

Update 10:20pm: All orders that I received while I was gone have been processed and are at the lab.

Also, I've gotten some emails and instant messages from friends and customers about my trip - concerned about me and if I really am okay.

I won't go into grisly details - but one thing I have learned as an adult is sometimes the truth needs to be said, and the truth can hurt. I just spent 4 days stranded in a strange city, with no help or contacts because I told the truth - if you can't take it, then tough. I gave up a week of work to come help a friend with a future career, but instead spent it not how I would have wished (too long of a story there). I was threatened with violence (yes, I am okay! I promise!) and kicked out - and you know what? I can take care of myself. I am home now and am not planning to go to Portland again anytime soon :-)

Anyway - I'll try to post some pix (not of the trip though) tomorrow but until then, some things I've learned in the past few days.

1. Sometimes Cabbies and Front Desk people at hotels are really REALLY nice!

2. I am capable of walking alot more than I ever thought I was - and the MAX is kinda cool.

3. There are alot of homeless people and alot of litter in P-Town

4. Bring food with you wherever you go - no matter what.

5. Hamburgers and Diet Cokes at Vegan Restaurants taste sick (I should have guessed this one)

6. Some people don't have any idea how to have houseguests.

7. If you're going to have kids, at least play with them - they are more important than your computer.

I am having fun, and getting lots of rest, so don't worry, I'll get everything done when I get home!

I leave for Portland tomorrow, and since my husband is going to be working alot while I'm gone, I took our pet rats over to my Mom's house to be "RatSat" She calls them the "GrandRats!"

What are we going to do? : Each Child gets a 15-20 min session in their Halloween Costume - 5-10 poses will be taken (depending on child)

Some more about me

Yes, I have a sneak peek due, but I promised I would watch my cousins tonight so parents could go have fun! Everyone needs a break once in a while - I'm without my laptop and camera right now as well.

Anyway, more about me from the list I started last week:

11.Nirvana - my favorite! I listen to them alot, and did when I was young as well. Something about their music and me at 16 spoke to me. My favorite songs by them are "Heart Shaped Box" and "Lounge Act"

12. squished pennies - I must have 75 of them, I get them anywhere I can. Soon I'm going to frame them in a shadowbox like frame!

13. Johnny Depp - I've loved Johnny Depp since the Nightmare on Elm Street/21 Jump Street days. My favorite movies of his are "Edward Scissorhands" and "Ed Wood" (both Tim Burton, figures!)

14.America's Next Top Model - What's not to love about it? lol I could watch that show for hours on end - I was sick last year for a few weeks, right then a marathon was running...coincidence???

15. dark chocolate - I didn't have dark chocolate until I was in my 20's and I love it way more than Milk chocolate. Something about that sweet bitterness gives me shivers.

That's enough for now - The boys and I are watching "Mars Attacks!" and someone is whining to me for juice...fuuuun

I'm a shoe freak. Well - not really. You see, I only really get excited about one kind of shoes - Converse. Chucks - whatever you want to call them. I've been wearing them for quite a few years now - starting with a neon orange pair in the 7th grade! I've had many other colors since then - but on Sunday - I bought my favorite pair EVER...



No, they aren't rainbow. They are CLEAR! Now I can totally embarrass my family and friends with my insane collection of funky socks! (pppsssssstt - ever want to buy me something?? BUY ME SOCKS! lol)

Seriously - I'm too excited about my shoes. lol.

In other news - I have a wedding tomorrow and then a family session on Sat. then I'm out of comission until the 17th - I'm going to Portland for a week! wooo! I need a vakay.
